The weekend of 24–25 October 2026 delivered 103 goals across 41 finished matches in England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France. The headline acts were all braces: Kylian Mbappé settled El Clásico, Nicolas Jackson stunned Manchester City, and late drama in Milan and Naples produced two memorable finishes.

Storylines of the weekend

Mbappé's brace wins El Clásico. Real Madrid won 2–1 at Barcelona, and both goals belonged to Kylian Mbappé. He opened the scoring in the 41st minute, saw Raphinha level for Barcelona in the 61st, and struck again in the 87th minute to settle the biggest game of the weekend.

Jackson's brace stuns Manchester City. Aston Villa beat Manchester City 2–1 at Villa Park on Saturday, with Nicolas Jackson scoring in the 6th and 60th minutes. Erling Haaland had levelled for City in the 52nd minute, but Jackson's second goal restored Villa's lead eight minutes later and Villa held on.

Bournemouth rout Manchester United. The other eye-catching English result came on Sunday, as AFC Bournemouth won 3–0 at Manchester United. Rayan opened the scoring in the 38th minute, Marcus Tavernier added a second in the 43rd, and Evanilson completed the rout in the 71st. Earlier on Sunday, Liverpool beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2–0, with a Pascal Gross own goal in the 17th minute followed by Alexander Isak in the 21st, while Arsenal had beaten Everton 2–0 on Saturday through Ezri Konsa (7') and Gabriel Magalhães (68'). Tottenham Hotspur won 2–0 at Chelsea on Saturday, with a Mike Penders own goal in the 77th minute and Mathys Tel in the 87th.

Inter's late, late comeback — and an eight-goal thriller. Serie A supplied the weekend's wildest finishes. Internazionale trailed Fiorentina until the 90th minute, then turned a 1–0 deficit into a 2–1 win: Álex Jiménez had put Fiorentina ahead in the 65th minute, Marcus Thuram levelled in the 90th+1 minute, and Piotr Zielinski won it from the penalty spot in the 90th+7 minute. On Saturday, Napoli and AS Roma shared six goals in a 3–3 draw, with Scott McTominay scoring twice for Napoli (48', 83') and Leonardo Balerdi answering twice for Roma (74', 89'). Atalanta and Frosinone played out a 4–4 draw on Sunday, with Romano Schmid (1', 17') and Nikola Krstovic (14', 45') both scoring twice.

Marseille survive a seven-goal thriller. In France, Marseille beat Le Havre AC 4–3 after leading 4–0. CJ Egan-Riley (5'), Timothy Weah (33'), Igor Paixão (50') and Himad Abdelli (55') had Marseille cruising, but Le Havre roared back through Josh Maja's penalty in the 77th minute, Mouhamed N'Diaye in the 86th, and Maja again in the 89th — falling one goal short. Stade Rennais beat Strasbourg 3–0 with Sebastian Szymanski scoring twice (41', 61') after Boulaye Dia's opener (34'). Lens came from behind to beat Paris FC 2–1, with Florian Thauvin (63') and Thorgan Hazard (83') overturning Luca Koleosho's 45th+2 minute opener.

Bayern and Hoffenheim win late in Germany. Bayern Munich won 3–1 at SC Freiburg on Sunday: Dayot Upamecano (16') and Serge Gnabry (42') put Bayern two up, a Tom Bischof own goal in the 82nd minute gave Freiburg hope, and Michael Olise sealed it in the 90th+5 minute. TSG Hoffenheim beat Bayer Leverkusen 3–0 the same day, but all three goals came late — Andrej Kramaric's penalty in the 79th minute, Alexander Prass in the 89th, and Max Moerstedt in the 90th+5 minute. Borussia Dortmund beat Eintracht Frankfurt 1–0 on Saturday through Maximilian Beier's 80th-minute winner, while RB Leipzig thrashed SV Elversberg 4–0, with Rômulo scoring twice (66', 90th+4').

Athletic hit four, Villarreal strike at the death. In Spain, Athletic Club beat Getafe 4–0 on Sunday, with goals from Álex Berenguer (17'), Iñaki Williams (35'), Aitor Paredes (70') and Yuri Berchiche (88'). Villarreal won 2–1 at Valencia on Saturday thanks to Georges Mikautadze's winner in the 90th+6 minute, after Pepelu's penalty (38') for Valencia had been cancelled out by Alex Freeman (69'). Atlético Madrid beat Deportivo 1–0 through Julián Álvarez (48'), and Elche won 3–0 at Rayo Vallecano, with two penalties — Federico Redondo (23') and Fer Niño (36') — before Germán Valera's third in the 68th minute.
